bringing all people into healthy relationship with Jesus and one another

Team Leadership

A team of people serving with their unique gifts and abilities—this is what makes CEFC the church that it is. We value equipping volunteers to lead and finding the unique ministry niche of every person in the congregation. We have a variety of people providing leadership in areas like teaching, worship, caring, administration, students, and children, which demonstrates our value of unified team ministry. Our staff team is listed below (in alphabetical order).

Ericca Hoffer
Director of Church Life

Ericca has ministered at CEFC since 2009, helping people get connected to the CEFC community so they can grow, serve, and multiply effectively.  Ericca keeps our congregation informed, answers people’s questions, and assists other ministry leaders with administrative and organizational tasks.  She enjoys event planning, organizing, crafting, and family time with her husband (Taylor), 2 dogs, son Graham, and daughter Skyla. Ericca is a graduate of Bethel University with a major in Organization Leadership and minor in Communication.

Katie Jensen
Childrens’ Ministries Coordinator

Katie is passionate about bringing children and their families into relationship with Jesus.  She oversees a great team of children’s ministry volunteers who make this happen each week at CEFC.  Katie has a Certificate of Biblical Studies from Covenant Bible College and a Psychology degree from Gustavus Adolphus College.  Katie spends the majority of her time as Mom to her three daughters, Julianna, Aubriella, and Clara.  Katie enjoys watching her kids learn new things with her husband, Scott, and meeting new people at the park or wherever life takes her.

Jennifer Kvamme
Student Ministries Coordinator

Jennifer has a passion for equipping students to love God and serve others. She is privileged to do this as student ministries coordinator for CEFC, where she’s served since 2003, as well as through writing Bible studies, articles, and blog posts. She holds a degree in English (Writing) and Bible from University of Northwestern–St. Paul. When she’s not with students, you can usually find Jennifer playing with her three young kids, Ellian, Audrey, and Isaac. In rare moments of free time, she enjoys coffee dates with friends, experimenting with photography, planning her next road trip, or exploring the outdoors with her husband, Greg.

Peter Rieke
Worship Ministries Coordinator

Peter has been coordinating our worship ministries since 2003, and he loves to be able to work with such a talented group of people to create authentic and meaningful times of worship. Peter and his wife, Elise, have been married since 2006 and have three children, Alethea, Lydia, and Caleb. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas, and when he has spare time, he enjoys reading, playing with the girls, cooking, cheering for the Twins, photographing things, and playing guitar.

John Stromberg
Pastor of Church Multiplication

John has a long history with CEFC.  He came up through our youth group before becoming lead teacher for The Edge while working on a degree in Biblical Studies at the University of Northwestern, Saint Paul.  After graduating from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with an M.Div. in 2013, he came on staff at Centennial to advance church multiplication through the development of Gospel Communities. John is married to Dena and they live with their daughter Chloe in Columbia Heights. John is a bi-vocational pastor who also owns his own photography business.

Larry Stromberg

Larry has pastored CEFC since 1998. He holds a Master of Arts in Ministry degree from Moody Graduate School, Chicago, IL, and previously pastored churches in Maine and Indiana. Larry and his wife, Chris, have four children. His passions are expository preaching and encouraging younger leaders.  In his “spare time” he can be found reading, studying Spanish, or getting in trouble with his grandson, Avery.  Larry is helplessly addicted to books, coffee, and the Chicago Cubs.
