As a children’s ministry, we are striving to bring children and their families into healthy relationship with Jesus. We maintain a loving, safe, and fun environment where our students can learn, grow, and feel free to ask questions. We pray that our students will not only learn the content of the Bible, but even more important, become acquainted with its Author. We hope that as our students are coming to personally know Christ, they will also build personal relationships with their teachers and peers that will continue into the youth group and last for years to come.
What To Expect
Our staffed nursery provides a safe, pleasant, and spiritually nurturing place for infants and toddlers (0-3) during the Gathered Worship so parents and other worshippers can enjoy stress-free, undistracted worship.
Explorers, our ministry for kids in preschool through 5th grade, meets in the children’s ministry area at 9:30am during the Gathered Worship. We have different classrooms for different ages:
Pioneers (preschool age), Pathfinders (K-2nd grade) and Voyagers (3rd-5th grade) engage in SuperBook curriculum which is a fun and interactive curriculum that we use to deepen our relationships with one another and Jesus.
We place a high value on intergenerational relationships and kids' participation in the Gathered Worship. Every week, the Explorers kids are welcomed back into the sanctuary for communion and the last song set. Every 4th week there will not be an Explorers class and the children will stay with their caregivers in the sanctuary for Gathered Worship.
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
