Psalm 67

John Chamberlain   -

April 12, 2026 Dear Heavenly Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we come before you today and boldly ask as the Psalmist did to bless us and make your face to shine upon us. May we understand this is not to say that we are only looking for an easy life or praying for comfort.  Instead, we ask for your blessing in ways that will bring glory to you.  We pray that you would grant us opportunities to be real with people.  When they see that we are leaning on you instead of ourselves, we know that this will make your name great.  When our friends see us place our sense of worth in being your child, may your name be praised.  When they see us being more concerned about growing close to you rather than chasing the empty trappings of this world, may they pause to wonder why.

Father at these times in our lives, help us to be instruments to make your salvation known among our friends.  Give us the words to share about the true hope we have found in you and the saving work of Jesus for all of the people throughout the earth.

We look forward to the day the Psalmist mentions when you will rule the people justly and guide all of the nations of the earth. We long for the days when all of the wrongs will be made right and all of the oppressed will enjoy freedom.

Father, we ask for your continued guidance in helping Centennial Church be the body you want us to be.  Show us how to love one another in the way you demonstrated while you were here.  May we be faithful in building relationships with each other.  Grant us patience when others don’t act in the way we would hope or expect.  Fill us with your grace.

We also pray that you would bring lasting peace to the conflict in the Middle East with Iran. We pray that good progress would continue with talks that have been happening over the last couple of days. We also lift up the negotiations between Israel and Lebanon. We pray that you would help them to be fruitful and that there will be peace in Jerusalem.

Finally Father, we pray that you will continue to be with our global partners in SE Asia. We pray for the doctors to have wisdom when they meet with N in June. We ask that the treatments prescribed will be helpful for his heart. Also, please provide in practical ways for the fuel shortages they are encountering at this time and help the smokey air pollution to be cleared away.

May we all continue to strive to be peacemakers with the people in our lives…. For it’s in Jesus name we pray….and all God’s people said………Amen.
