Psalm 65
March 29, 2026 Lord God, Father, Son and Spirit
To you alone belong glory and honor and praise.
To you we make our most sincere and deepest promises.
You grant us the privilege of speaking in your presence and you listen with the intent to hear our longings and our confessions.
For you peer into the center of our lives, into the deep crevices of our hearts, exposing our most guarded secrets, discerning the intent of our will.
You open the doors of your home
And call to the broken wondering lost.
In listening to every whispered prayer, you favor us way more than we deserve, irrespective of our clan.
So, any can come, regardless of their condition, such as the poor in spirit,
and the persecuted … which David will be talking about in his sermon this morning.
Today we ask you to grant your favor to our global partners living and working in SE Asia as they lead and attend many meetings and conduct training courses. I suspect they routinely face challenges that would cause us to despair. Calm their spirits and generously meet them in their every need. Give them the words to say as they minister amidst the mayhem of the nations.
As we see the turmoil of the nations and as we experience the tensions in our own streets we look forward to being in the presence of the goodness all the time. The hope of all the ends of the earth.
Thank you for the opportunity to come into your courts eternally.
But as for our current situation, we know
the earth
is not forgotten
the ground beneath our feet is still under your promise.
Your river has not run dry, it still overflows with bounty
Though we go through seasons of drought
You don’t turn away.
You answer us—not always with ease,
but with power, justice, and faithfulness.
You are the hope of the whole earth,
from desolate rugged villages, to prospering suburbs. to crowded cities.
You quiet chaos—
For the river of God is full of water and brimming with life
You bring growth where there was emptiness,
And at your command you can make the desert blossom.
Therefore, we shout for joy and sing your praise.
As your congregation here at Centennial I pray that the message of your generosity in this Psalm would overflow into our lives as we interact and touch the communities around us.
We bring these our prayers before you this day, Amen
