Psalm 11

Greg Kvamme   -

March 16, 2025 Father, Son, Holy Spirit, we praise you Lord for being the refuge we can go to. Our enemy takes shots at us. We attempt to flee. We are not at peace. We do what we can to protect ourselves and it doesn’t seem to be enough.1 Corinthians 10:13 guides us, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

We lift up our families with babies on the way in our prayers. There are so many new joys and challenges with new babies. Give them physical strength and rest. Protect their thoughts and guard them from too much worry. Grow them in trusting you in this spiritual journey raising children. Let love and patience and discipline surround their teaching and training. God thank you that you are faithful with us.

We pray for local, state, and national leadership and political situations around the world. Even though we pray for peace, we all eventually experience anxiety, frustration, and fear in uncertain political circumstances. We pray for countries that are hostile to Christianity, we think of Asia. We pray for countries in the middle of war. We pray for countries with corrupt governments that lie to and enslave their people. Media does not bring us much good news or encouragement. May we find hope and encouragement in studying scripture. And may we remember that Jesus sacrificed his life for us, at the hands of an unjust government. And scripture promises us that you will return and establish your perfect kingdom. You, oh Lord will bring justice. Help us to not put our trust in a political party, or any earthly leader. Help us to put our trust in you alone.

Thank you for bringing this local church family of Centennial together to encourage one another, and pray for one another, and carry one another’s burdens. Thank you that the culture of our church is not a place to be served, but a place where we love and serve one another in our various ministries. Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve and love us, and we follow Jesus in this example. Lord enrich and encourage us in our daily, or hourly, or unceasing prayers to you. Thank you that you hear our prayers, and that we can put our hope in you.
