bringing all people into healthy relationship with Jesus and one another

The Edge

The Edge is CEFC’s ministry for middle school and high school students. Our mission is bringing all students into healthy relationship with Jesus and one another. At The Edge, students will experience the Word, worship, prayer, and relationships through gospel-centered community, hands-on experiences, and leaders who genuinely care about them.

There are three primary ways students can be involved in The Edge:

Wednesday Nights

The Edge meets from 6:30-8:00 every Wednesday night. A normal Wednesday night includes games, a time in the Word, prayer, real-life discussion in small groups, and–on the first Wednesday of every month–a taco dinner at 6pm!. Students are invited to come early and take advantage of our ping-pong, air hockey, and carpetball tables…they offer a great chance to get to know others better.

Disciplemaking Relationships

We believe the most effective conduit of ministry is relationships. Our adult leaders love to meet with students individually or in small groups to study Scripture or just to talk about life. We’d love to get all our students connected in this kind of mentoring relationship! Talk to any leader if you’re interested.

Big Events

Each year, we plan a series of retreats, trips, and other events that offer students a unique chance to build lifelong relationships while learning, serving, and growing together. These often include a rock climbing and camping weekend in the fall, a midwinter overnighter, the District Blitz conference in the spring, a training retreat for the students and adults on our ministry team, and mission trips or conferences for both middle schoolers and high schoolers over the summer. There’s nothing like getting away from home for an extended period of time to experience community, be stretched from your comfort zone, and get to know God in a new way.
