30 Hour Famine

Every year, The Edge participates in World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine in order to make a difference in world hunger. Students choose to go without food for 30 hours and use that opportunity to raise money for World Vision to feed starving kids around the world. Every dollar feeds a kid for one day.

While they’re hungry, students spend a day and night together, serving in various ways around the Cities and learning more about our responsibility to the poor and neglected around us and around the world. And they find they have a lot of fun doing it!

This Year’s Famine

In 2010, the Famine will happen February 26-27. This year’s funds from our group will go directly to Haiti to help provide food and basic care for children affected by the recent earthquake. Talk to any participating student or leader if you’d like to help out!
